A GRAYISH-GREEN JADE SCABBARD CHAPE
Warring States Period
Of lenticular outline, the tapering sides carved in low relief with an angular scroll motif within a linear border, with a cylindrical aperture on the underside for attachment, the gray-green stone now extensively altered to an opaque buff color; together with a small buff-white jade figural bead, Tang dynasty, carved as a foreigner with curly beard and long hair bound by a fillet standing holding a cat in his arms, wearing loop earrings and a long cloak over his robes, perforated with a narrow vertical channel
