Although no other yellow glass double-gourd vase of this exact shape appears to have been published, a larger example where the upper bulb tapers into a curved neck was sold in these rooms, June 4, 1992, lot 40 and was later included in the exhibition, A Chorus of Colors, Chinese Glass from Three American Collections, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, 1995, Catalogue, pl. 92, no. 64. Other vessels made from this same kind of opaque egg-yolk yellow glass were also included, nos. 61-63 and 65-69.
