A RARE GREEN-GLAZED RED POTTERY MODEL OF A WALLED COMPOUND
Han Dynasty
The stepped, roofed walls of the square compound with an entry on one side leading into a bamboo grove surrounding a building with a tiled roof, with a figure seated in a relaxed position at the corner near the open door, each of the four, small upper windows with its single shutter raised to let out warm air, covered overall with a glaze of deep leaf-green tone continuing under the foot rim to partially cover the flat base
