A RARE GRAYISH-OLIVE-GLAZED PROTO-PORCELAIN FLUTED GLOBULAR JAR
Warring States Period
Of compressed ovoid form, the sides encircled by a wide band of crisply cut, narrow, vertical flutes, a second, narrower band on the high shoulder applied with two molded mask handles terminating in a loop suspending a loose ring, all below a short, upright neck with slightly inward-canted rim, the thin irregularly mottled glaze of dark olive-green tone on the upper body continuing over the mouth rim
