TWO SMALL ARMORIAL PLATES
LATE 18TH CENTURY
The first with the arms of Palles, circa 1790, in colored enamels within a reticulated rim edged in iron-red and gilt (minute fritting), 7 7/8in. (20cm.) diam.; the second with the arms of the Haberdashers' Company impaling Cottington circa 1795, within numerous narrow borders in blue enamel and gilt along the well and the rim (slight wear to both), 7 5/8in. (19.4cm.) diam. (2)
