In accordance with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's History Code, the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission has deaccessioned certain objects from its collection. These objects either do no support the interpretation of Pennsylvania history or are unecessary duplicates. None are unique and of special significance to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Proceeds from the sale of these objects will be used solely for the purchase of new objects.

The thistle-shaped bowl with facet-cut lower part engraved with a woman tending fowl in a walled garden her companion sitting on a fence smoking a pipe, within an oval cartouche flanked by diaper and rocaille scrolls issuing flowering branches, the reverse with a verse, supported by a faceted multi-knopped stem and folded conical foot--8 5/8in. (22cm.) high
