Born in Kyoto, Nonouchi Hiroshi studied painting with Matsuo Toshio. He has been a frequent exhibitor at Inten exhibitions in which he has won 13 awards, and he has shown in Kyoten exhibits. Several of his paintings are in the permanent collection of the Kyoto Prefecture museum. The painting of Mt. Fuji offered here is striking for its atmospheric and monumental rendering of mountain against sky.
