The present lot is similar in composition to a painting in the Louvre, Paris (99 x 136cm., inv. MNR 301, ital. 35) which Ferdinando Arisi (Gian Paolo Panini e i fasti della Roma del'700, 1986, p. 412, no. 363) accepts as Panini but with studio participation.
