Furniture with Candelabra and Interior Decoration, London: William Pickering 1838, Folio, 380 x 275mm., (4 15/16 x 10 3/4 in.), modern black morocco over old marbled boards, gilt spine, uncut, new endpapers, last l0 plates cockled from damp, final two plates with some running of color, minor dust-soiling, especially to fore-margins. FIRST EDITION, 2-page letterpress list of plates, 59 etched and handcolored plates including title, (all but one full-page, one a double-page plate of an armoury, numbered 53-54), most designed and etched by Bridgens, several engraved by Henry Shaw, including a number depicting gothic furniture designs for Aston Hall, residence of James Watt.
