I in two parts), 8vo, 250 x 150mm. (9 13/16 x 6in.), original green cloth, gilt lettered on spines and upper covers, extremities a little worn, inner joints of vol. III cracked, portrait in vol. II with upper blank margin dampstained, very faint dampstaining at top towards end of vol. III. Photogravure portrait of the author in vol. II, 300 numbered plates, in three series of 1-100 (nos. 82/83 in vol. II and 9/10 & 68/69 in vol. III are each double-page), all lithographs, some colored or partly colored, by H. and F. Bolus; F. Bolus edited the third volume which has a preface by Harriet Margaret Louisa Bolus née Kensit, and a corrigenda slip. Stafleu TL-2 625. (4)
