This Sadamasa was a student of the famous Kusakari Sendai Sadamasa and was almost his equal in skill.

EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800), SIGNED SADAMASA AND KAO
The oval brass plate is slightly dished from the center to the seppa-dai area. It is carved and inlaid with shakudo, gold, silver, and copper, and depicts two fans and a rat nibbling the cords of one. A willow tree is carved on the reverse--height 6.7cm., width 6.4cm., thickness 5.5mm.
