A GOTO SCHOOL KOGAI AND KOZUKA SET
EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1750)
Both pieces have a plate of shakudo nanako inlaid in gold and high relief shakudo. The design depicts ferns and oval leaf plants. The frames are gold covered and have a yasurime surface--length of kogai 20.3cm; length of kozuka 9.6cm.

This set of waki Goto fittings was probably a mitokoromono. Unfortunately the matching menuki are now missing.
