The shakudo nanako fuchi and kashira are decorated with sprays of flowering peony in high relief inlay of silver, gold, and shakudo.

Lot Essay

Omori Terumasa (1705-1772) was the nephew and heir of Omori Shigemitsu (1696-1726), the first Omori master. He was a student of Yokoya Somin I (1670-1733) and Yanagawa Naomasa (1692-1757). He is considered the founder of the Omori school. He was the father of the great Omori Teruhide.
