A SEKINE SCHOOL KOZUKA
EDO PERIOD, DATED BUNKYU 3 (1863), SIGNED RANGETSUTEI TOSHIAKI (JUMYO) AND SEALED
The shibuichi plate has a polished surface and is engraved in katakiribori with inlaid gold and silver highlights. The decoration depicts a shishi looking at its reflection in a stream. The reverse is inscribed with the date and the artist's location, name and seal--length 9.8cm., thickness 4.5mm.
