The pear shaped body set on a raised ring foot with elongated neck rising to a rolled lip, delicatey painted in underglaze blue with bats flying amongst fruiting pomegranate boughs, the branches of which flow out of two auspicious Chinese characters for 'fortune' and 'long life', the foot encircled by a double ring in underglaze blue- 11 3/8 x 7 in. (28.8 x 17.8 cm.)
