Of cylindrical form, repousse and chased with swirling flutes above rocaille, with scrolling acanthus enclosing the same engraved armorials, the domed cover with similar decoration and surmounted by a flower finial, with openwork acanthus scroll overhead swing handle, marked under base and on cover, and struck with English import marks for 1948--10 1/4in.
