Each of circular form, on spreading circular foot, the handles formed as winged cherubs playing trumpets, the domed cover surmounted by a bud finial enclosed by foliate scroll and flowerhead decoration, the rims applied overall with an anthemion band, with gilt-metal fitted liner, the circular stands each with similar anthemion rim, struck with pseudo-French hallmarks and stamped Biennais--diameter of stands 15 3/4in. (40cm.)
