Of baluster form, on three scroll feet, with wood scroll handle, the scroll spout with a hinged flat cap, the hinged domed cover surmounted by a baluster finial issuing from a fluted calyx, marked under base, also struck with later French import control marks--7 3/4in. (19.6cm.) high

A similar coffee pot with marks of Neuchatel, with the same distinctive finial to the spout-cap is in the Schweizerisches Landesmuseum, Zurich and illustrated in ibid, no. 330.
