LEEUWARDEN, 1788, MAKER'S MARK OF LUCAS OLING
Of vase-shaped form, on spreading circular foot chased with shallow flutes and beading, the lower part of the body and upper part chased with two broad bands of shallow flutes, the shoulder between with beaded band, the domed cover similarly chased, the tap with openwork foliage spigot, the stand on three foliage capped scroll feet terminating in openwork rectangles with applied rossettes, with applied husk festoons between and fluted lamp suspended on three chains, marked on base, lamp with later control marks--15in. (38cm.) high
