THE COFFEE POT SHEFFIELD, 1841, MAKER'S MARK OF HAWKESWORTH, EYRE & CO.; THE TEAPOT, CREAM JUG AND SUGAR BOWL EDINBURGH, 1856, MAKER'S MARK OF CRICHTON; THE KETTLE, STAND AND LAMP 1863, MAKER'S MARK OF JAMES & WILLIAM MARSHALL
Comprising teapot, coffee pot, hot-water kettle with stand and lamp, cream jug and sugar bowl; each of circular form, the sides engraved, on each side, with a brickwork and scroll cartouche supported by winged monsters below a strapwork, brick and flowerhead border, and enclosing, on the kettle, a coat-of-arms, crest and motto, with fluted acanthus scroll spouts, the scroll handles with similar decoration, the hinged covers with similar strapwork and foliage and surmounted by a bud finial, the kettle stand raised on four shell and scroll feet joined by an openwork acanthus, with central removable circular burner, fully marked--height of kettle on stand 15in.
