A RARE GEORGE III SILVER EGG CODDLER
LONDON, 1798, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL STORR

Of oval form, raised on an oval stand with four reeded paw supports and central oval burner, with wood scroll handle, the double flat cover hinged at each side and with scroll thumpieces, opening to reveal a wirework egg coddler for two eggs and with an oval wood baluster finial, engraved with a crest, marked on body, covers, stand, lamp, lamp cover and interior coddler--overall height 9 1/2in. (24.1cm.)
