In the Adam's style, of vase-shaped form, the spreading circular foot chased with a laurel band and raised on a square pedestal base supported by four ball feet, the lower body repousse and chased with acanthus below flowerheads joined by laurel swags, with beaded shoulder, the neck with similar laurel and ribbon swags, with wood scroll handle and acanthus scroll spout, the hinged domed cover with gadrooned rim below a similar laurel band and surmounted by a a fluted and beaded baluster finial, marked on body and cover--13 1/4in. (33.6cm.) high; the waiter of circular form on four openwork laurel swag and scroll feet, the openwork fluted border with bead rim and draped with laurel swags, marked under base--7in. (17.8cm.) diam.
