Well carved as a bird perched atop an oval stem, the head extended and delicately carved with small, curved beak, laid-back ears and finely incised feather markings, with C-scrolls on the closed wings, the wing and tail feathers indicated by deep grooves, with a small loop under the head and tail, the pale grayish-white stone with dark brown markings softly polished and with added russet coloring--4 in. (10.2cm.) long, lucite stand
