Each composed of separately carved joined plaques carved in low relief, both depicting Immortals, the first seated on a rock-form base borne on spume-flecked waves, with an attendent holding a bird perched on a branch below a pine tree, the second holding a slender bottle and flowering branch, dressed in flowing robes and standing on swirls of clouds with an attendent at her feet, each inset against a brocade mount--the ivory 8 3/4 in.
