The top of the curved shaft inlaid with the characters, kao shou kang ning, interspersed with bats, foliate motifs and a wan emblem, above foam-licked rocks rising from waves on the ruyi-form tip, the ruyi head decorated with the wufu surrounding a yinyang symbol and the underside decorated with lotus scroll, minor chips--16 3/8 in. (41.7cm.) long

The mark may be translated, 'health and tranquility in old age'
