Each of drum form, the seat inlaid with a white marble plaque, raised on four bowed and pierced supports forming shaped open panels containing pairs of ruyi-form projections bound by a double band where they meet, raised on ruyi-head feet--20 3/4 in. (52.8cm.) high (2)

A similar stool with huanghuali seat in the Honolulu Academy of Arts, was included in the exhibition, Chinese Hardwood Furniture in Hawaiian Collections, illustrated by R.H. Ellsworth, Honolulu Academy of Arts, 1982, Catalogue no. 86
