Depicted as if in the middle of a dance, with left hand raised and right hand lifting her skirt as she raises her left foot, wearing layered robes with full sleeves, her hair swept up into an elaborate coif, traces of pigment, head restuck, cracks--19 1/2in. (49.5cm.) high

Similar dancing figures have been found in Han cliff tombs in Sichuan, such as those at Hejiashan, Jinyang, at Shanguci, Yibin, and at Mumashan, illustrated in Wenwu 1991, no. 3, pl. II:1; Wenwu ziliao conqkan, no. 9 (1985), pl. VII:3; and Akiyama Terukazu et al, Arts of China: Recent Discoveries, 1968, no. 283
