It is unusual to find yuhuchun ping with white decoration reserved on a blue ground. Compare an example from the Sinclair Collection, painted with a white lotus scroll on a broad blue band, illustrated in the Southeast Asian Ceramic Society Exhibition of the Ceramic Art of Southeast Asia, Singapore, 1971, Catalogue no. 83, and again in Vietnamese Ceramics, Southeast Asian Ceramic Society, Singapore, 1982, Catalogue no. 116, where another vase decorated with white clouds against blue is also illustrated, Catalogue no. 115
