INCISED QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The rounded baluster body of hexagonal section rising from a spreading foot to the flared neck terminating in a flat everted rim of flower-head form, the exterior covered in a rich red glaze streaked with milky blue between the lobes, the interior of the mouth and the top of the rim glazed pale blue--7 1/2 in. (19.2cm.) high

A 'flower-shaped vase imitating Chun ware' of this size and form, with a flambe glaze and incised Qianlong seal mark, is illustrated in Qing Dai Taoci Daquan, Taipei, 1986, p. 297.
