AN UNUSUAL LARGE BLUE AND WHITE ROCKWORK JARDINIERE

Heavily potted, the sides carved in imitation of rough, craggy rock surfaces, covered in a glaze of deep cobalt tone and applied with a meandering vine bearing small leaves with serrated edges and incised with veining under the white glaze, the top with a bowl-shaped receptacle decorated with a band of foliate, beaded garlands pendent from an inner edge decorated with a crenalated band below a Greek-key border at the mouth rim, all in underglaze blue, some restoration--23 1/4 in. (59cm.) high
