Congressman Kennedy, on an Asian tour, writes to thank his friend Mickey for his assistance in Karachi, and in a forceful but diplomatic way critiques some American periodicals being published in Pakistan. "...I have looked over the magazines you sent me I think a lot of it is quite good 'The Pakistani Girl at Southern Methodist' etc. -- though some of it seemed a little juvenile...." Rather, "I would think that the subjects, many of which are excellent could be handled in a more mature way. In addition -- I think the reproductions of the photographs are lousy -- and in fact the whole format is not good enough to compete even in a secondary way with Life [magazine]. Perhaps if it were possible distributing Life more widely there -- even if you had to pay to do it, would perhaps be better. But of course, I am not familiar with many of your problems...."
