Boston: Printed and Sold by Benjamin Harris 1694. 12mo, eighteenth-century speckled sheep, covers detached, pastedowns from a 1756 issue of the Connecticut Gazette, small tear to inner margin of title-page affecting one letter, tear to D1 with loss to catchword and one word of text, D2 torn with loss of approximately 8 words, 2 tears to M2 affecting 3 or 4 words, a few other short tears, a few edges creased, dampstaining, light foxing. FIRST AMERICAN EDITION of this guide to spiritual preparation for the trials of childbearing, publisher's advertisement on last page, with final blank leaf. Sabin 57207; Evans 708 (citing the title incorrectly); Wing O278A. Rare: NUC lists one copy, at Duke University (cited by Wing, who erroneously lists a second copy supposedly held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art). Sabin, Evans and Wing all incorrectly record the imprint as "Reprinted by Benjamin Harris" (the Duke University copy bears the imprint described above).
