The thin, round iron plate is decorated on both sides in brass dot inlay (tenzogan) and thin wire inlay. The hitsu-ana are original. Some brass dots and wire inlay are missing, and there is some rust on the plate surface--height and width 7.6cm., thickness 3.0mm.
Lot Essay
Three rows of dots characterize early inlay style whereas later examples (middle to late Muromachi period, 1450-1550) have four or five rows of dots.
