EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800), SIGNED SUNAGAWA MASANORI SAKU
The oval iron plate is carved with an overall pattern of overlapping maple leaves that covers both sides as well as the rim--height 7.6cm., width 7.3cm., thickness 4.5mm.

Sunagawa Masanori (fl. 1800) was a prolific artist who made many fine tsuba and had a large school of followers.
