EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1800), SIGNED CHOSHU JU TOMOTSUNE

The oval iron plate is carved in deep, rounded relief with a chrysanthemum bloom and leaves. The other half of the plate is formed as leaves of grass in openwork--height 7.0cm., width 6.8cm., thickness 5.75mm.

Lot Essay

This is probably the work of Nakai Tomotsune II (1706-1780).
