EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1825)

The oval, smoothly-polished iron plate is pierced and carved with cherry blooms on water--height 7.4cm., width 7.3cm., thickness 5.0mm.

Lot Essay

This style of late Higo tsuba was probably made in Edo by an artist of the Kamiyoshi school.
