A GOTO SCHOOL KOZUKA
MUROMACHI PERIOD (CIRCA 1550), INSCRIBED MON SOJO SAKU TEIJO WITH KAO

The plate is shakudo nanako with a shakudo design of shinto-miya objects in relief. The back is sheet gold plate with running file marks, much rubbed--length 9.6cm., width 1.3cm., thickness 1.1mm.

Lot Essay

This is an old kozuka of the Muromachi period, but the signature is poorly cut and not with a sure hand.
