MUROMACHI PERIOD (CIRCA 1550)
Each shakudo plate is cast and carved as a gambolling shishi, and has open tri-corner suhama-shaped punch marks and a few nanako dots. Each has delicately carved hair lines. (2)

This classic pair of mainline Goto school shishi menuki were made about the time of Goto Joshin (1508-1564).
