Morita Terutoshi later used the Omori family name. He was a student of Tokuno Terutoki (fl. 1750), who was himself a student of the Omori school. Terutoshi also studied with Omori Terumasa (1705-1772).

EDO PERIOD (CIRCA 1775), SIGNED TEKKOSAI MORITA TERUTOSHI WITH KAO
The shakudo nanako plate is carved and inlaid with a silver stream and gold plants, with silver moon behind nanako clouds. The edge of the frame is gold and the remainder is of shakudo--length 9.7cm., width 1.5cm., thickness 5.5mm.
