Of vase-shaped form on spreading circular foot with dentilated rim below a similar knop, supported by a square pedestal base raised on four winged scroll paw feet, the lower body flat-chased with foliate scrolls, the foliate spigot with double scroll ivory finial, the shoulder with massive scroll handles with bands of stiff-leaf, pearls and berried vines terminating in a flowerhead, the flaring rim with bands of stiff-leaf and flutes, the domed cover with bud-finial issuing from a similar stiff-leaf calyx, engraved front and back with a coat-of-arms and helm within a foliate scroll cartouche, marked under base and on cover--14 1/4in.
