The text consists of copies of running script calligraphy (xing shu) of Tang and Song dynasty masters, including Yan Zhenqing (709-785), Yu Shinan (558-638) and Su Shi (Su Dongpo, 1036-1101)

Each composition inscribed or signed with one seal of the artist

Last leaf signed: Moan Yi Bingshou and dated the twenty-second day of the third month of yichou year of the Jiaqing era (1805) with two seals of the artist
