The bodhisattva shown seated in virasana on a lotus socle, the right hand held in vitarkamudra, the left resting on the knee, wearing loosely draped robes and a ribbon-hung headdress centered by a figure of Amitahba Buddha, the face well carved with delicate features set in a contemplative expression, with extensive traces of gilding and red and green pigment on the lotus petals, losses--14 in. (35.5cm.) high
