A PAIR OF PARTHIAN GOLD EARRINGS
CIRCA 2ND CENTURY B.C.-2ND CENTURY A.D.
The body of navicella shape with each end wrapped with twisted wire and terminating in loops to which arched earwires are hinged, with, on either side, bezel set tear-shaped garnets or glass surrounded by granulation, and, at the bottom, a cylinder with three vertical sections of beaded wire interspersed with rectangular bezel set garnets or glass, with a cluster of four hollow gold balls with granulation below.
