Mainly concerning Sackville-West's review of her Two Worlds and Their Ways (1949), Elizabeth Bowen's novels, and Sackville-West's article on Compton-Burnett in the Radio Times. 4 December 1949: "I got your book [Inclinations] without any idea that I had a place in it myself, and had great surprise and pleasure in finding your essay on Elizabeth Bowen and me...And I agreed so much with your treatment of the last novel [The Heat of the Day?] by Elizabeth Bowen, among whose faithful I have always been..." 13 November 1952: "It was kind indeed of you to write an article on me in the Radio Times, and I should like to say how much I liked it and how grateful I am for it..."
