[between 1 March 1777 and 31 July 1781]. One page, a small oblong (lower portion of a larger sheet), 68 x 20mm. (2 5/8 x 8 1/16 in.), slight fold tears.
A document signed while the young Hamilton, with rank of Lieutanant Colonel, served as Aide-de-Camp to the Commander-in Chief, a post held by him for some four years. "The D[eputy] C[ommissary] General of Purchases will issue agreeably to the above resolution...."
