A cryptic letter in which Jackson refers to himself somewhat formally as "The President," as he often did in letters of this date. "The President will make an order for the delivery of John Dungy to the Agent on his producing the certificate of the Governor of Virginia that the proceedings in this case are authentic, but such order for delivery will be conditional that is to say on payment of fees...."
