1977 REGGIE JACKSON WORLD SERIES BASEBALL
An official American League baseball which is the ball hit by Reginald Martinez Jackson for his third home run in the sixth game of the 1977 World Series in Yankee Stadium. The ball was retrieved by a field employee and given to Reggie after the game. The ball was then given to a representative of Standard Brands company who later produced the "Reggie" candy bar. The baseball was used in promotions of the candy bar and was displayed around the country. The baseball is inscribed by Reggie Jackson with World Series records, the scores of the games, and Reggie's autograph on the sweetspot. This lot is accompanied by a P.R. publication from 1978 describing the use of the ball as a promotional piece during the "Reggie" bar unveiling. Ball is in excellent condition.
