Sicily, Segsta (c. 425 BC), Silver Didrachm, 8.41 gms., die axis 180°, dog standing right, three ears of wheat behind, /KSECESTA[IIB]/k in panel in exergue, rev. head of nymph Segesta right, her hair bound with a cord and bound in a korymbos, /KEGESTAION/k in field (SNG ANS 643, same dies; SNG Lloyd 1186, same dies), an old mark on Segesta's neck, otherwise very fine, very rare and in lovely classical style
