Northern Greece, Thrace, Lysimachus (306-281 BC), Silver Tetradrachm of 'Smyrna', 16.95 gms., diademed head of Alexander the Great, with ram's horn, right, rev. /KBASILEOS LYSIMAXOY/k either side of Athena seated left, leaning on shield decorated with lion's scalp, holding Nike who crowns the /KL/k in Lysimachus, spear resting behind, turreted head of a goddess in the inner left field, /K(PH)/k in outer left field (Mueller 408), superb extremely fine and struck in very high relief
