Of hexagonal shape with matching hexagonal, slightly domed cover with two large hexagonal compartments, the exterior decorated in gold hiramaki-e and gold and silver foil with peonies, bamboo and mon beside a meandering stream on a gold hirame ground, the interiors red lacquer and the compartment risers nashiji- 13 3/4 in. (34.9 cm.) high, 9 in. (22.7 cm.) diameter, losses to foil, damages and restoration
